Some More Pictures

Well between School and waiting for and then playing Skyrim I’ve been very distracted from doing anything with my blog. However awhile ago I took some more rather nice pictures at White Clay Creek State Park, a different part of the park at least though. So I thought I might as well throw those up here for the Internet to see. As usual the full sized images can be seen on my photobucket album: Here

What a nice scenic view…

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, but being I took several very nice pictures over the weekend I thought I might as well. I went to White Clay Creek Sate Park over the weekend and got some rather nice photos with my new Olympus FE-47 camera. It’s been the first time I’ve had a good chance to use it so it was a nice test. I’m very pleased with how the pictures came out, even the close up of the pitcher plant that was growing in the forest. The whole experience was very enjoyable and relaxing.

The full size images are in my photobucket album here.

My New Camera

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, school and all, but I had some free time today so I thought I might as well do something with it. Just yesterday I got a nice new Olympus FE-47 camera from Radio Shack. Luckily it was on sale being it was the display so I managed to get it cheap but it was in decent shape, just a few scratches on the body and smudges on the LCD screen. So far it seems to work great. It’s 14.1 MP, has a 5x optical zoom, and plenty of features like being able to take panorama shots. It’s able to take much clearer pictures than my iPod, but can only save about 4 at max resolution on it’s own internal memory. Not a problem though being I have a 2GB SD card laying around here somewhere. At least with this I can take much better pictures of, well, anything I suppose.

Fractals

Among my many pointless uses for my computer is making fractal images. I use alot of different generators to make them. The one I use most is probably ChaosPro. It’s a great freeware program that lets you make really cool fractals on just about any computer, so long as you’re patient. It does suck up a whole lot of processing power to generate the images. For the heck of it I thought I’d post some of the ones I’ve made on here.

Scenery Photography

I don’t travel much but I tend to take pictures wherever I go. So rather than have those pictures ‘rot’ on my iPod or computer I’ll post them for the enjoyment of others. All of these I’ve taken over the course of the summer so far. For being taken with the tiny camera they stick on an iPod they’re not too bad.

Skull USB Sculpture

Yes it’s a skull. Yes it’s a USB drive. No I don’t have an obsession with skulls I’m not a creep I just happened to have white molding foam and that’s what came to mind. The USB drive itself I coated in epoxy before molding the skull around it so it’s very well protected and does function very well. I don’t sculpt too often so I have very little experience but I think it’s a pretty decent piece of artwork. Cool looking and functional, what else could you want?
